Mt. Lookout Neighborhood

Located on the east side of Cincinnati, Mt. Lookout is north of the Linwood neighborhood and overlooks the Ohio River valley. The community is just a short 15-minute drive from downtown and ranked by Niche magazine as the 5th best neighborhood in the Cincinnati area. Mt. Lookout is close to the very popular Oakley and Hyde Park neighborhoods. Because of its location, it also shares ownership of the recreational areas of Ault Park with Hyde Park. Mt. Lookout offers residents a sparse suburban feel, and most residents own their homes.

Originally known as Delta, Mt. Lookout became part of Cincinnati in 1870. The Cincinnati Observatory moved to Delta in 1873, and the neighborhood's name changed to Mt. Lookout.

Mt. Lookout nightlife attracts college students from several area universities, including Xavier University, the University of Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky University. One of the area's most affluent neighborhoods features an array of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and two popular parks. Ranked as one of the safest neighborhoods in Cincinnati, Mt. Lookout's crime rate is 22% below the national average. The median income is $125,000 annually, and the median home price is approximately $393,000. There are about 5,800 people that call Mt.
